Enhalus Endangered Why???

Lets take a look at Enhalus! Its an underwater forest!!! What lives in forest’s…………FOOD!

If you are hungry or have no money! Where are you going???

Where does this map exclusively encompass! Nations with extremely poor populations…..

(n.b. Australia sort of skirts the range)

I count 20 foraging people on this particular seagrass bed at low tide!

The world seems to love the term UPSCALE!!!!!!

Lets upscale the problem before we upscale the solution!

I have visited 20 seagrass beds worldwide (Enhalus as the predominant species).

Each one has its particular issues, each one can be saved.

Every seagrass bed’s first, second and third problem is human impact!

Each seagrass bed in the Tropics is under threat! Covid, no toursim, food shortages etc etc

Reasons you cannot prevent people from extracting a living from a Seagrass bed in the tropic’s????

1, Where else are they going to find a living??

2, Who is going to enforce regulations??

3, It can be sustainably managed! With a very general set of rules to begin with basic drone technology and sustainable propagation and planting.

And why should the world listen to this particular blog from an oilworker with too much spare time on his hands??????

Climate change! Blue carbon….

Yes Enhalus is the perfect answer to climate change! In the intertidal zone anyway!!!??

See Enhalus and Blue Carbon.
